Tuesday Ramblings....

Happy Tuesday!

Today, I have a huge group of 3rd graders coming to the shop to tour, make little cupcakes and buy treats. So much fun! Love these field trips. :)

Well, my girl left last night. Does it ever get any easier to let them go? The only thing that kept me from crying was to know that she will be back in a couple of weeks for 6 days! Yay! And the little time that we had to "visit" was so precious. It is beginning to remind me so much of when I "visit" Mama and how she in turn "visited" Grandma Byrd. Amazing how your talk changes to flowers, cooking and cleaning products and the inevitable - Is he treating you right? Is he helping around the house? Are you sure?

MB will be leaving me Wednesday to go to Texas with the band. She will be doing a whirlwind tour of San Antonio and playing at the Alamo. How cool is that? She is busy packing and getting ready for all of the fun. Over dinner last night, this brought up the time that Jess went to Washington with Chorus for the inaugural ( is that even spelled right LOL ) parade and wound up in the middle of a riot complete with tear gas and swat team. She was mortified at the protestors and came back with lots of stories to tell. I sincerely hope that this school trip is a good one for Mary Beth. All I know is that in listening to them, I don't think I would even want to be in high school again.

Gypsy, don't ever lose your love of front porch sitting. That has been my favorite past time this weekend. Watching the lightning bugs and simple talk...just smelling the jasmine. Why have people let this southern past time go?
You are very blessed to live where you are living. I am so envious! May you have many more nights of merlot and oreos with friends...Hopefully one day soon I can come sit on that porch and enjoy the night with you.

Blondie...I so feel your pain with moving. I swore I would never do it again. It is sooo hard. And here we are talking about doing it again when MB gets out of school. And you do wonder where on earth all of this stuff came from. Wouldn't it be great if you could just leave it all there and start over fresh? I so wish I could be there to help you. It is overwhelming to say the least.

Hope you girlies have a wonderful day and are at this moment enjoying your second cup of coffee.

Love you both!
