HUMOR IN AVOIDANCE OF TEARS
I've truly been remiss in contributing to our lovely new blog... Thanks Gyps! As I sit and read your beautiful, and poignant, words I feel that undeniable ache that tells me how much I'm missing home and family. So, today, due my fragile psyche, I'm going to only talk about things to make you laugh... And my inevitable contribution to the ridiculous. As you know, since we've returned to the "Never Never" life has been a little on the hectic side. We returned to find unwanted guests, or as I like to fondly refer to them, the mice from HELL! When people say, "a plague has descended upon their house" now I truly know what that means. So, over the last 4 weeks I've spent more time trying to find ways to navigate through the house without my feet touching the floor, and I've become best friends with my bedroom, which now has a mouse proof sandbag... it looks like a large orange boa constrictor laying in front of my door. Speaking of snakes, I've honestly thought about investing in one... I'm thinking this would be a great book... "The Day My Boa Ate The Mice." I have a new profound respect for snakes. Having taken you through my mouse tirade, I can now inform you that while I feel my house is close to mouse free, it now smells to high heaven of decaying mouse carcase, which is a whole new HELL in itself. Yes, it's like the gift that just keeps on giving! Promise to write soon, with hopefully much more eloquent topic of conversation. Know that I miss you both and all our Dear Family. Until next time...
